The Mississippi in the Civil War Message Board

Bain, Bayne, etc spellings,

It was brought to my attention today that these men served in the Civil War from Mississippi.
They are: Walter T. BAIN, W.J. BAIN, Harry W. BAIN, and George W. BANES served in the Civil War out of MS.
I am trying to figure out if any of these connected to my gg grandfather Walter D. Bayne who was born in
Virginia in Nov. of 1812. Walter D. was later in Kentucky, married in Shelby County, Tenn. in 1843, and by
1847 when his son, W. J. Bayne was born, they were in Mississippi. Supposedly, he had been married
prior to his marriage in 1843, so wondering if any of these could be relatives of some sort?
Does anyone know the groups these men served with or have additional data relating to any of them.
Thank you!
Linda T. Acrey
gg grandchild of Walter D. Bayne, who was
born in Virgina, raised in Kentucky, married in Tenn. and died in Arkansas
