Thanks, Rick. A question ~ "escaped from Nashville," I dont understand this. If he was captured at Donelson (my assumption), why would he have escaped at Nashville? Wouldnt that have been at a point to where he was returning from parole? The 4th was not near Nashville at the time. They reformed near New Orleans before engagement at Chickasaw Bayou. Many thanks!
