I have found this regiment most difficult to research. The soldier I am searching info on
is James Skates - I have no age - in NC whose only reference to war service is on his
tombstone....7th Senior Reserves..I have come to find that the 7th Sr Res. was part
of the 77th NC. I can barely find a mention of this group , much less anything on
the soldiers. Can anyone direct me to a site that might have any info? I did find
these troops mentioned at the battle at Bentonville,NC but that has been pretty much it.
And no roster anywhere. Thanks for any suggestions.
