I'll look him up when I get home. If he was in the Lenoir Braves, he was not at Roanoke Island. All of the soldiers captured there were released in Elizabeth City on parole on 21 Feb 1862. The Lenoir Braves were captured at the battle of Hatteras on 29 Aug 1861. They were first sent to Governor's Island in New York Harbor, then transferred to Fort Warren in Boston Harbor on 2 Nov 1862. They were paroled either 13 Dec 1861 or 3 Feb 1862.

You can check my site at http://civilwarnenc.ning.com/ for information on the Lenoir Braves. Also check the 32nd NC (Company L?) and the 40th NC for information on the Lenoir Braves after their release from fort Warren.
