Thanks, Bruce. Over the years I guess the memories become changed. Sanderson was at Fort Warren, I think that much would have remain in family memories. I'll change the memories to the Battler of Hatteras. From what I have been told, Sandersons had a farm NW of Kinston. The great granddaughter, my mother in law, is guessing 13 miles from Kinston. She left Kinston before WWII. She understood the Major Sanderson was buried on the farm, I found a newspaper clipping stating that he was buried at the church. Not sure where you are, but is there any way to verify the Sanderson Farm location and get a photo of it. Can only assume that the location is still recognizable. We have no photos of Major Sanderson. Granddaughter is 91, just trying to gather a little info for her. The memories are fading fast. Art
