Major Sanderson is my great-great-grandfather. At least some of Major's descendants in the Sanderson clan settled up in the Deep Run area of Lenoir County, which is, I think, about 16 miles out of Kinston.
I would be very interested in finding any photographs of the Lenoir Braves company, if anyone in the forum knows of any that exist. Also, if there was some sort of coat of arms that this battalion had.
