Searching for any info on my great, great grand uncle Civil War veteran HIGHTOWER DOTSON. Dotson supposedly was either:

1) A 3rd Sgt. in 34th NC Infantry Regt. killed at the Battle of the Wilderness.
2) In 34th NC Infantry Regt. captured at the Battle of the Wilderness imprisoned at Lookout Point where he died, date unknown.
3) In 34th NC Infantry Regt. captured at Cold Harbor June 1864 imprisoned at Elmira, NY and never heard from again.

This info has been passed down in family folklore and at this point has not been confirmed. Any information anyone can provide about HIGHTOWER DOTSON is much appreciated.
