I think this battle must be up there for the title of "Battle with the Most Alternate Names"!

I have seen the Wikipedia article, but thanks for pointing it out.

I would love to see a full treatment of 2nd Kinston, though I fear that insufficient primary materials exist to do it justice.

We feel certain that the 43rd MS was there because two of its members with "gunshot wounds" arrived in Raleigh via railroad on March 11th.

I'd love to hear from anyone with manuscript/letter/diary info relating to this campaign.
