Those were hectic times and a lot of events went unrecorded. Historians have characteristically ignored battles which did not garner huge amounts of publicity. It seems that if none of the more well known figures, i.e. Lee, Longstreet, Etc. Etc., were involved, the event took a back seat in the history books.
