It should be a movie. If not that at least more should be taught in the schools. The impact of the 'invasion' by the whites into an already unstable Indian culture was at the least interesting. I think the tories from the northern states went back to Merry Olde England or into Canada. Those in the Southern regions looked for help and sympathy in the Florida/Mississippi area. It worked for a while. The 'prophets' were qute a show in themselves. It almost mirrors another culture and their prophets in the 1960's. Some went off the deep end following them and some straddled the fence.
Jackson's use of the Cherokee in the invasion wasn't as talked about as it could have been but that could have been a whole book itself.
Maybe one overlooked point is that there was always fighting in the South. By the time the Indian Wars were considered over, it was time to go on to the 'Big One'. Southern folk, especially those in the Alabama, Mississippi, Florida region were used to defending their property. It was the invaders that changed.
