Chase, in the book "Weevils in the Wheat", Interviews with Virginia Ex-Slaves, page 79, there is mention of 2 families of white slaves. They lived just like the black slaves. Apparently, from the tone of the interview these were not offspring from a white master. The date of the interview was 1937.

Also, the book relates that poor whites had to get a pass just like the blacks to go anywhere or sell anything. These were not white slaves, just poor whites.

I have another book that tells of white orphans in Missouri being enslaved. I can't remember the name of the book at this time.
