Georgia has not apologized and from what I hear from some State Representatives there is not a chance for the proposed appology to even get to the floor for an official vote.

Our local representative is the Chairman of the Committee that must be approved by its majority before it can come to the floor. This gentlemen supports the return to the original Georgia flag, and I believe will be a strong block against any effort to push through an appology for something that our present generation had no part in instituting.
