I am wondering if after enduring the likes of Bragg for so many years, and then for Hood to come along acting almost as outragious as Bragg, if the other commanders, like Cleburne, didn't see this as just such a reckless order, maybe issued while under the influence of Hood's drugs, and, as such, did not take it seriously for just that reason?
