I hope I have not caused confusion when I said I had posted before I did not mean this page I hope that is the right term I am new to the internet, I have asked some questions on the Mississippi Missouri and Indian territory pages.
My relitives from Mississippi were Samuel J Shappley and his brother William T Shappley.I have copys of there service records from the MDAH Samuel J was briefly in the 34th inf but then transfers to the 19th inf co h he is on a list of wounded 5th may 1862 (gun shot wound left knee) at Williamburg Virginia he was discharged feb 1863.
William T was with the 34th inf co g he was wounded ( severely both hands)Perryville Ky Oct 1862 he was left at Perryville on the order of regt surgeon I do not know anymore on him in the war but he lived until at least 1880.I hope this has not been too boring.
The Winsham in 1600 could be modern day Winscombe which is 15 miles from me.
