Joe,
I should have clarified the part on the Jewish faith. As an organization with a strong Christian basis, those who are non Christian are not discrimated against because of this, they just don't normaly wish to join because of the difference in religious leaning.
As a teen, I was a Rainbow Girl and did not continue on because it just wasn't for me. Nothing wrong with the Girls or the OES. Sure made my Grandparents sad though. They had hoped to see me stay. My Dad was the only one in his family NOT to join in at least three generations. He had nothing against it, just wasn't a joiner.
The family records show involvement in the organization for at least 200 years. I have no knowledge of anyone in a conspiracy. I do have to say that the theories make for some interesting novels. Other than recognizing each other in common Christian brotherhood and kindness, the rest doesn't compute. Would be very surprised to see the Holy Grail show up one day in a Masonic Temple.
