What is the number equivalent of most and many? Perhaps just before the War For Southern Independence, the ones who screamed the longest and the loudest were the only ones who were heard. Sorta like today isn’t it?

Is it true South make the first attempt at emancipation and the efforts were blocked by the North. I had read that Virginia made something like 20 attempts before 1861.
