No, didn't have any people in the Civil War. Folks came through Ellis Island in 1922 from Greece. Wound up in San Francisco running a little neighborhood store on Van Ness. Put my dad through medical school in the mid-1940s. Govt fast tracked him through in anticipation of mega-casualties from the invasion of Japan. Skipped a few courses, such as anesthesia, bed side manner, etc.
