It was a sunny summer morning and R.E. Lee's ANV was camped along the banks of a beautiful river. One of those revivals that took place during the hardest of times of the war was in full swing. Pvt. Boudreoux, of the Louisiana Brigade had managed to duck that mornings inspection by attending the Divine services held by the Chaplains. However, at the first chance he got he snuck back to his tent and pulled the cork on a bottle of "Old Busthead" he had managed to aquire. Before long he was in the middle of a full blown drunk.

About this time he heard singing coming from the river. Staggering to his feet he walked down to where the Chaplains were busy baptizing many soldiers who had made the great profession of faith. Pvt. Boudreoux stumbled ever closer, watching in amazement when suddenly a Chaplain grabbed him, dunked him under the water and upon lifting him back up shouted... "Have you found Jesus"?

Pvt. Boudreoux was too stunned to speak so the Chaplain dunked him again. When he let him up he again queried him... "Have you found Jesus"?

Again, Pvt. Boudreoux couldn't speak so again, down under he went. This time the Chaplain held him under almost a full minute. When he finally let him back up he again asked... "Have you found Jesus"?

A somewhat more sober Pvt. Boudreoux yelled out... "Are you sure dis whar he fall in at"?

I know, I should be ashamed of myself but its been so long since we've heard from Pvt. Boudreoux I thought everybody could use a laugh.
