Albert Pike, General, Indian Territory, spent 32 years writing the rules and procedures to gain entry to the Mason's. He was thought to be a satanist, because of this and his membership in the Scottish Rite. He had enemies in the Confederate Government as a result of his membership, so while outlandish this sounds,people who fear the unknown do make up stories to fuel their fears.
