The writer (I cannot recall his name) could clarify for himself whether Masons intermix Lodge business with non-Masonic secular activities.

Available Freemason sources make it quite clear that "no private offenses, or disputes about nations [e.g., war], families, religion or politics must be brought within the doors of the lodge."

That from an 1855 copy of "The Mystic Circle and American Hand-Book of Masonry," compiled by Senator George H. Gray of Mississippi, pages 268-269.

What Masons do outside the Lodge is their own business, but may also, if contrary to established Freemasonry guidelines result in expulsion from the Lodge and generally fall under the title of "Unmasonic Conduct."
