But, David, do you not believe that when they committed these acts, they were acting in their capacity as individuals of whatever other affiliation they might have, but not in their capacity as Freemasons.

That is my understanding that Freemasons do not bring religion, politics and other non-Masonic matters such as these two into the Lodge or intermix such involvements with their Masonic duties outside the lodge
