"Patriotic Fire"

I am currently reading "Patriotic Fire - Andrew Jackson and Jean Laffite at the Battle of New Orleans" by Winston Groom. So far it has been an excellent read on the War of 1812. As I was reading I found interesting the similarities between Andrew Jackson and Nathan Bedford Forrest. Both were self-made men with hard childhoods with no military training who were natural leaders and seemed to know the right thing to do at the right time. They both preffered to attack instead of defend. Even references to their physical appearance are similar, tall, imposing, firey eyes, etc. Just caught my attention
