Craig, thanks for the tip. I looked it up in Merriam-Webster's dictionary and they gave this definition...

"to make a mess of: Blunder"

Maybe where Chief heard it used it was indeed off-color but it appears it is innocent enough. Again, I say thanks because after sleeping on it I had decided to remove this thread. This info sure has saved me some egg on my face LOL!
