I saw a great show on the slaughter too. The Indians were mostly armed with Henry repeaters while Custer's men still carried Sharps, Spencer or Star carbines. The Indians basically chased Custer's troopers into a deadend ravine where they were shot down like ducks on a pond. There were substantially more dropped Federal bullets than fired ones found on the field. You are right, there was no last stand, the were butchered.

I saw a T-shirt at a reenactment several years ago. It was covered with arrow heads and arrow fletches (feathers). It said "Custer's Last T-Shirt" hahahaha.
