Keith and Doyle, this is very interesting, and something I didn't know. I know in the second war the German and Japanese had to sigh surrender documents. I have a pic of the Japanese signing the document on board the USS Missouri with David Eisenhower (with a Japanese officer looking on with a look of total repugnance on his face).
Yes, Doyle I guess it is true most southern people are hard headed and like a bull dog, when they get their teeth into something they don't want to let go (the Scottish &Irish in us ).
