Re: The 1st Five, no sweat

I thought I would share a funny with you about people and they misconception.

My living history group were having an encampment last weekend. We are primarily southern and Confederate in our impression and do several different impression such as not only Confederate but also Union Infantry, and artillery and a Medical Hospital. We also have a Ladies Aux. Civilian and a Telegraph impression.

Anyway to the story.

On Sunday morning we had a small group of young men and women come into camp really excited about what we were doing and how proud they were we were flying the Confederate flag. We realized that something wasn't right and after a while they admitted that they were KKK members.

We were trying to figure out how to get rid of these "people" without causing a ruckus for our other visitors in Camp when three of our members of African Decent stepped out of their tents in Confederate Uniforms.

The look on these peoples faces was one of absolute shock. They became very animated and stepped away huddling in private conversation for a couple of minutes and then quickly departed.
