Old Pete, will he ever be reconciled in the South, James?

Professor W.G. Piston and others in the Longstreet Society are working hard to get him back out of the basement and into his rightful place in Southern history, but I still think they have a way to go.

I just found out that John Singleton Mosby, another Southern Confederate hero, was also vilified after the WBTS for his unpopular political positions, presumably driven, at least in part, by his participation in the Grant administration.

I realize this is old news for most on this board, but we all learn something everyday.
