Re: Flying machine of the Confederacy

Back in another life (at least it seems like that), I did some brief research on a "flying machine" being built in Richmond during the Civil War. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the name of the inventor. He travelled around the camps of Richmond and Petersburg soliciting funds for his project and may have even begun construction of the device. Of course, it was not finished and never used. There may be something in the old "Confederate Veteran" magazines about this.
