Re: Flying machine of the Confederacy

If Dr. Bergeron says it is happened I believe it. I just didn't realize that it was taken seriously. I realize the idea of achieving flight has been around for centuries but the idea of Jeff Davis, Judah Benjamin and other members of the Confederate Cabinet hovering over Washington and dropping bombs made think of the old Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon movie, "The Great Race". I haven't seen it in a long time but I do remember Peter Falk flying Lemmon, as Professor Fate, into a barn :-)
