Fast forward to this week, and here you have thousands of people running amok in the streets, throwing embarrassingly infantile tantrums and hiring scurvy lawyers to mount lawsuits aimed at overturning the legal vote of millions on behalf of a tiny minority of the overall population.

There you have, in these two examples, the almost infinite gulf that separates a man of true character--and a bunch of true characters.
