Yes, we had a great time there, I believe you got them confused at the store when you asked for a "pop", we don't call sodas that here in the South...lol and of course, people are about as country as they can get in Hanging Dog. Its a wonderful place though, mountainous, remember the Cemeteries were even on hillsides? We have a lot of relatives buried there in the Hanging Dog Baptist Church Cemetery. Nearly all of our Dockery relatives, and a lot of the Lunsford ones. I wouldn't want to speculate where Bear John is now, hopefully he is dancing with the angels...lol I believe Tobias had bought some land from Gov. Joe Brown, if I remember correctly...maybe I will run across that info. again sometime. We'll have to go back to Dahlonega and explore that old book store, bet they have some good books in there.
