Yes your position is biased and one sided you refuse to admit the truth about racism and you will put the entire burden on the back of the South. I refuse to sit here and read posts of that nature and not respond knowing full well that racism was alive and well in the North in the 1800s. You are offended -- so what? You opened the subject not me. You made the accusations not me, I simply pointed out that racism existed in the country as a whole. Social programs well make up for any injustice that your wife’s ancestors have suffered real or imagined. Besides we just apologized for slavery, not on behave of the South or the Confederate states, but the entire nation. So what exactly is your big gripe? Your and your wife want to play the victim, fine do so at the expense of the whole country, not just the South. You don’t like the South, fine at least blame it on something unique to this region, such as the heat, or food, not something that was lawful and common in the entire country.
