Re: US History as taught in Ark schools

US History at the high school level was hijacked at a state and national level long ago. It is not about history, learning or education, but is merely a propaganda tool to spread a certain world view and to indoctrinate our children in a certain viewpoint. Up until recent years, local school boards have been able limit this indoctrination through text book selection, but they have now been bypassed and emasculated in the name of raising the "standards". The last thing those behind this movement want to happen is for youngsters to hear, in addition to slavery, state rights might have been an issue. This might lead to an understanding of the "reserve" clause of the constitution and the realization the U.S. Department of Education, national standardized testing and "No Child Left Behind" Act are unconstitutional.
