Boz, in searching around, I found this site: http://www.txgenweb7.org/txbexar/siege.html which made me realize I had the wrong side of the family in mind. It appears to have been my maternal grandmother's possible ancestor, Hugh McCollum, who was at Bexar in December 1835. I'll try to establish a connection. Sorry about the confusion..Senior Moment!
