Well. This takes a bit of time to digest. Not what one would expect. It's way overdue, this revelation on the tactics well used and approved by Federal forces. Perhaps it is just asking too much for those reading those words to take a bit of time and research other places these men applied their 'talent'. It's been quite amazing they have even mentioned Custer without a halo on his golden head.

My concern at this point in time is the new interest in the Native American story may be due to a push for political gain. Anyone keeping an eye on today's politics understands why. A 'purchased' vote? We can only hope that one day the entire story of any war, any military action taken by any US Troops will be talked about honestly. I don't think they will ever take a real close look at what was done in the Southern region of the United States and view it with less than a prejudiced eye. Just too easy to take pot shots and run. Reference to anything that is not in keeping with the image they wish to project for this region is going to be under lock and key.
