While some Yankees do research because of family...my friends Mike Gerow and Father Proud...I think a lot of them have had it weeded out by ancestors coming to this country after the war. Southern Unionist like MoFed and myself also have stories from our ancestors to whom the war is still talked about in the present tense. I believe that most of Mo's people were rebs like mine, though both of use side with the blue for the most part.
