But the historical question is the first company in the Confederacy, not Virginia, why say Virginia? Why even make the statement if it were a known fact. If your wife had just given birth to your first and only child you would not tell her "this is our first child born in Baton Rouge"; your wife would looked at you weird and asked "do you know something I don't?" No, if you had children born elsewhere, she would understand your point and say, "oh, your right."
