Re: Not everyone agrees with the NPS

I would bet that most people who go to National Military Parks have little idea what they are there for. Most people just want to play, or be entertained.

As for me I haven't visited a National Military Park in some years. I certainly have not since US Repersentive Jesse Jackson Jr. had a law passed that directed the National Park Service to interpret that the war was over slavery. Certainly not an objective directive. Althought I am given to understand that this interpretations have been changing in the more recent interpretive programs, I don't know if this is just local to individual parks, or reflects a change in the Department of Interiors "official" policy or not, since these NMP have been experiencing a downturn in attendence over the past few years combine with the effects of the economy.
