Uhhh, yup, I'd say ya made the right pick Stan. It was brutal. As a story of an individual and only from that one individuals perspective it may have been ok.---if you like that individual. --as a story of Gettysburg, nope, not even in the same neighborhood. Some military or history buffs may have liked the Sickles story but there was so much pc material that the real story of Gettysburg was left on the cutting room floor. That is, if they ever filmed it. I liked Newts version much better and he wasn't as good as Sharra.
Ya ever notice, for every one minute of CW story/info/bio/whatever that may have one word that is nice about the South there's gotta be an hours worth of disclaimers to make up for it and keep 'some people' happy?

Oh, btw, I watched Wings of Eagles the other day on tmc. Those old pics of the navy yard sure brought back memories. When they filmed the scene with the plane flying through the hanger my Daddy was standing just outside the hanger. Saw the old photo school too.
