Some guy named Crockett out of eastern Tennessee, signed on for 3 months of the Creek War, talks about it in his book. Most of his fighting was in the area of Pensacola FL. Doesn’t mention run away slaves but then most of them joined the Creek Nation. His company joined up with several Indians from the Choctaw/Chickasaw Nation and slaughtered Creek families, men, women & children not involved with the war, just that they were Creek.
