The Sidney Martin Wessinger (1847-1862), buried in Summerville had a brother, John Jesse Wessinger. John named one of his sons Sidney Martin Wessinger (1865-1951) in honor of his dead brother. Sidney Martin Wessinger (1865-1951) married Minnie Ada Fulmer (1869-1940).
Sidney and Minnie had 7 children:

2. Sidney Erick (or Eric) Wessinger, married Lula Blanche Meetze.
3. Lillie Lessie Lura Wessinger, married Louie Franklin Long.
4. Cedecia Annie Mae Wessinger, married George Arthur Derrick.
5. Ella Ruth Wessinger, married Heber Cline Shealy.
6. Orrie A. Wessinger, married Shelton S. Hayes.
7. Kate B. Wessinger, married Claud Benjamin "Tot" Derrick.
