I am looking for any information on BROOKS BATTALION that camped and drilled at Summerville, and in December Brooks took detachments from Co's. A, B, C, and D to Savannah. The battalion almost mutinaed and was returned to Florence as prisoners. Some of these soldiers may have died in Summerville and may be buried in the UDC cemetery that we are researching.
