In June of 1864, the 5th Georgia Infantry and the 1st Georgia Reserves were transferred from Georgia to South Carolina. Could some of you SC experts help me make sense of the engagements listed below? I keep seeing names like Tillafinny River/Bridge, Devaux's Neck, etc. I'd like to know the official name of this campaign or operation and some sources with good detail and maps of these skirmishes. The battles/skirmishes listed below are according to Historical Data Systems (civilwardata.com) and are where the 5th Georgia Infantry suffered casualties. Is the name Devaux or Devereaux?
