I purchased a wonderful little booklet, chock full of great maps, OOB info, etc. It's brief but very highly detailed. Here's the title.

"The Civil War in Southwestern South Carolina, December 1864-January 1865" publ. by Western Carolina Historical Research.

I've seen it either as Devaux's or Deveaux's Neck. With participant maps spelling it in the former manner most often.

The guy who sells them does it on ebay as far as I can tell and pops up every once in a while. Haven't seen him lately.
