By my last name and address in Alabama I believe that Pvt Bensch managed somehow to keep the name alive as my great grandfather was also Willam Johannes Bensch and claimed connections to S. Carolina. If a tradition of military service is anything both my father and I served and retired from the US Army. I would like any other info on Pvt Bensch that is available.
