Pettigrew's Regiment of Rifles, 1860-61

Hello,

I'm trying to find a soldier of "Pettigrew's Regiment of Rifles, S.C. Militia" who volunteered in Nov. 1860, and was present during the bombardment on Ft. Sumpter in 1861. I have found a few references that claimed the unit was never accepted into the Provisional Confederate Army of S.C. The unit was primarily composed of the Charleston elite class of businessmen, etc. Does a complete roster exist of this unit? J. J. Pettigrew was colonel, and Ellison Capers was major. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Erik
