hi johnny i sure do thank you for your info but there was another william paschal o'shields. but you are right there was a paschal o'shields in pickens and he was born in 1830 and his first name may or may not of been william. back then they would go by their middle name as they do today. but i'am looking for my great uncle whose name was william paschal o'shields he was born in walnut grove spartanburg s.c. he was born july 4' 1824. he was married to minervie caroline hammond or harmon there are no records to prove this name to be correct. but he was married about 1853. with what records that i have caroline was born january 13' 1831. according to eary census they had 13 children. i will name these children as i have them listed [ 1 ] frances [ 2] mandy [3 ] Wm franklin [ 4 ]josephine [ 5 ]robert [6 ] a.m. [ 7 ] caroline [ 8 ]john [ 9 ] sallie [ 10 ] corra [11 ] newton paschal. [ 12 ] [13 ] McDaniel o'shields. his wife caroline died in 1908 she is buried in cedar shoals baptist church cemetery near enoree spartanburg s.c. william paschal o'shields died 1909 and is burried same cemetery. the reason this is hard to break the ice is because william paschal went to n.c. and he met elizabeth heaton this was about 1856 he was 32 years of age at this time. william paschal o'shields brought elizabeth heaton to pickens s.c. in 1857 she was with child sarah jane born in pickens s.c. 1857. isaac o'shields was born 1859 july 15' milas o'shields was born 1860. joseph o'shields don't have the year.but this of all their children. but you will find another william paschal he died 1880 in pickens and i think they have record at mt. carmel baptist church. what i'am looking for may be hard to find but william paschal was my great uncle but he liuved a double life it other words he stayed busy.
