As the webmaster of these sites, I will not tolerate personal insults on the message boards. In the two postings, where you have stated you felt insulted, I cannot see an insult. These message boards have become a significant historical resource on the internet. As such, many feel it important that the information be accurate and sourced, and if it is not sourced, that a disclaimer be placed with the posting stating that the information is conjecture or arrived at by deduction.

I am not familiar with the first gentleman, to whom you took offense, but I know Mr. Pitts, as one of our most highly respected contributors, meant no insult.

You should expect, when posting on these message boards, that you will be asked to source your information, that other, more experienced researchers might offer advice and that other contributors might challenge your conclusions and opinions. If you would prefer not to engage in such historical discussion and exchange, I would recommend you not post on these message boards.
