The kind of searches you describe should take minutes rather than years. The problem we have in attempting to respond is simply that so much information exists, and we don't know your specific interests in these two commands. Assembling the information for a reply to your post could take a while. I've spent well over an hour responding to similar posts, only to discover that the information I produced wasn't really what the other person had in mind at all.

If I may offer a suggestion or two -- please give us the names of the men who served in these commands. We can at least confirm that service files for the men named do exist. From that we should be able to determine whether their service covered the entire period of the war or a shorter term. I'm assuming that your interest is related to actual period of service for the two men.
