Re: CSA BURIAL SITES IN TN.
In Response To: Re: CSA BURIAL SITES IN TN. ()

Maplewood cemetery in Tullahoma does not show a listing for Pvt. Evans from the 16th Tn Inf. There are only 3 soldiers listed there from the 16th all in Nov 1863. I do not have a listing for any one from Tn there earlier than that. Possible cause is that the cemtery was put into place after the Hospitals you mentioned were built and the site for these was not chosen until the fall of 1862. It is possible that he is there but his name does not appear on any of the markers they have a plaque for each state. He could be some of the soldiers who had unmarked graves. Let me know if I can help if you will go to www.cwrc.org/c
_warfirstcem.html it has alot of information on the cemetery. Mark
